Fingerprint Friday – Pink and Lavender Sunrise

Fingerprint Friday was started by Beki, at The Rusted Chain. It was inspired by the song by Steven Curtis Chapman that contains the line…”when I look at you, I can see the fingerprints of God.” To participate and/or visit all of the blogs that participate, go to the Fingerprint Friday post on Beki’s blog and follow the instructions.

Today is a topsy-turvey fingerprint friday for me…my fingerprint of God is this sunrise. Yep! The insomniac finally took her camera with her when she let the dogs out and was able to watch as the sun came up like spun gold through the trees across the street. The rest of the sky was filled with pink and lavender and took my breath away.  God paints equally beautiful pictures in the morning as he does in the evening. I am only partial to sunsets because I see them more often. I cannot begin to  imagine what the skies will be like in heaven if this is what we get in this bent and broken world.

Have a great weekend and be sure to look for God’s fingerprints…they’re everywhere!

“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning” (Lamentations 3:23).

  1. wow those are beautiful!
Did you know that the more “stuff” in the air the more beautiful the sunsets (or sunrises)? The more dust, or fog, or smog, or pollen, or whatever the more brilliant the colors can be because they refract the light. Growing up in a desert the Formica dust that filled the air made for the most dazzling and breath-taking sunsets I've ever seen. I suppose that means that even if our lives are full of “stuff” the glory of the Lord can shine through and he can make something beautiful out of the fog of our lives.

    Blessings!
