Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You’re a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you’re covered with the fingerprints of god
So look around you and see where YOU can see God’s fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Want to particpate in Fingerprint Friday? Visit

Remember my Sunflower photo a few weeks ago?
The evening that I took it, I headed out for the specific purpose of taking beautiful photos of beautiful sunflowers.
Well, I was really disappointed when I arrived at the sunflower field.
The sun was shining behind all of their little drooping heads and it was really difficult to get a good shot.
Feeling rather frustrated on my way back to the car, I noticed this little thistle bush.
Well, I think it was a thistle. Not the kind I sometimes find in our pasture, but still it seemed to be some sort of thistle.
It looked pretty much like a weed, but I stopped to check it out anyway.
I leaned in close and saw this beautiful bud. It looked like a crown.
Really beautiful.
Photograph turned out great.
To think I almost overlooked it because I was frustrated with my original mission.
I’m going to try to keep that in mind.
Take the time to look at all the details in God’s world.
Not just the ones that I assume are beautiful, but the ones that don’t look so great at first glance.

  1. Take time to smell the roses…and admire the thistles! LOL It is mind boggling to realize that if the light had been just right for the sunflowers, you would have never noticed this beautiful little plant and missed taking this gorgeous photo!

Isn't it funny how sometimes our mind is set on one thing, and God is trying so hard to nudge us in a different direction? I am glad He has infinite patience with us. =0)
