I Have My Life Back…

…For a little while anyway!

I have been making daily visits to a very strange planet for the last three months. I took a job as an office manager in a doctor’s office. Doesn’t sound bad, does it? Well, things aren’t always what they seem. Although this doctor has an office about 20 minutes from my house, he also has an office an hour and a half from my house. Guess where I worked most of the time? Yep! Three hours a day on the road in traffic plus 9 hours in the office, adds up to 12 hours away from home. Needless to say, not much time for the good things in life like family, friends and blogs! Anyway, I’m done with that. Yes, in a recession with double digit unemployment rates, I quit my good paying office job. I’ll spare you the details and suffice it to say that most things in life are more important than money!
I am back among the living and so happy to be here. Yes, I must eventually find another job but for this day, this moment, this time I am spending my time being grateful for having my life back, no matter how briefly.
