Today is Palm Sunday…the day of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on a donkey as foretold by Zechariah:
The Coming of Zion’s King
“ Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion!Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and having salvation,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
Zechariah 9:9 (NIV)
After his triumphant entry into Jersusalem, Jesus would later eat the last supper with his disciples. I wonder if He told his disciples all of the ways in which He is represented in the Passover meal as he instructed them to eat the bread, his body and drink the wine, his blood?

Jews who believe that Jesus is The Messiah, do not “convert” to Christianity. They remain Jews but are called Messianic Jews, designating them as Jews who believe that Jesus (Yeshua) was and is The Messiah.
Many Christian churches have started a tradition of having a Passover seder or inviting Messianic Jews to come to the church and explain about how Jesus is represented in the Passover seder. I have attended these demonstrations and really enjoyed learning about the meaning of both the Jewish faith and the Christian faith in the Passover and the elements of the Passover seder.
Our church has a communion service each Tuesday night. We meet and someone gives a short message or we contemplate a particular Bible verse and we take prayer requests. We pray and then communion is served intinction. We each take a piece of bread and dip it into the wine chalice and eat it. This Tuesday, I believe that I will be thinking about the Passover and how Jesus was and is the Passover Lamb. I will be thanking God for his perfect plan of redemption and salvation and thanking Jesus for being the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

I hope you are feeling better…I don't usually do the tags and awards because for a while I was doing so many of them-but I think I will accept this challenge and the really nice award…I promise I will get to it, and I thank you very much.
