Holy Thursday

Holy or Maundy Thursday. This is the day of Holy Week that Christians traditionally celebrate the Last Supper. The day on which Jesus instituted the Holy Communion. His agony and prayer in Gethsemane would follow and then his betrayal. I have no words for how my heart is feeling today as I think of how much our Savior had to love us to allow His body to be broken and His blood to be poured out as the precious innocent lamb, slaughtered for the atonement for our sins.  Thank you my Lord Jesus.

There are graphic clips from The Passion of The Christ in this video. You will want to turn off my playlist before viewing.

But I will remember that Sunday is coming.

  1. Good Friday is a tough one to think on. I saw the Passion of the Christ, ONCE. It was heartbreaking and made me love my Jesus even more. I do not have the heart to watch it again, but I remember it well. I am looking forward to Sunday when we celebrate His resurrection!

  2. Yesterday was a very solemn day for me. I teach at a Catholic school and we start the day with a prayer service in honor of Holy Thursday. I was very solemn all day after that. The things Jesus went through for US is amazing!! The suffering, the humiliation, the pain…I cannot begin to fathom it. HE LOVES US SO MUCH!
