Fingerprint Friday was started by Beki, at The Rusted Chain. It was inspired by the song by Steven Curtis Chapman that contains the line…”when I look at you, I can see the fingerprints of God.” To participate and/or visit all of the blogs that participate, go to the Fingerprint Friday post on Beki’s blog and follow the instructions.
I am always amazed at how people can think that the earth and all of the life on it “just happened” out of some accidental big bang. When I look at all of the checks and balances that God put into place I am so amazed and I know without a doubt that this earth and the life hereon was not an accident.
Take vultures for example. Why would a species want to eat the rotting dead? For survival some might say. Well, if I ate what vultures eat, it would kill me. So, how did vultures decide that eating garbage would keep them alive? They didn’t. God decided. God planned it all. Some species are designed to keep the earth clean of all the garbage. Others control overpopulation. Still others pollinate flowers. You might disagree and that’s your privilege but I know that the creative intelligence behind all of this was God. How do I know? It’s the only thing that makes perfect sense to me.
I was fortunate to have this massive member of God’s sanitation team visit my farm the other day.
I’m not sure if he/she was here for dinner or to ride the wind currents but it was an incredible sight to see this tremendous bird flying around my yard and then up into the sky and back again.
His head is not so pretty, but his wing tips when spread..
quite beautiful.
Vultures are often thought of as dark and evil, but I see them as a very necessary fingerprint of God.
Be sure to visit Beki’s Fingerprint Friday post and link up or just visit the other participants you will find there. Have a great weekend.

God's plan is way beyond our comprehension, that's for sure. What an interesting fingerprint! I didn't know their wingtips were so beautiful.

My fingerprint was about birds too. God's creation cries out His name, doesn't it?

What a positive attitude you have about something that could easily make someone mad! You're right, though. It's amazing all the things He thought up and put into place. Thanks for sharing!
