Fingerprint Friday was started by Beki, at The Rusted Chain. It was inspired by the song by Steven Curtis Chapman that contains the line…”when I look at you, I can see the fingerprints of God.” To participate and/or visit all of the blogs that do, go to the Fingerprint Friday Post on Beki’s blog and follow the instructions.
I was going to post these last Friday but got side-tracked with a different kind of butterfly…so thought I would present the real thing this week.
It’s hard to believe that all of these photos are of the same butterfly. It is a red spotted purple admiral. It actually most often looks black and blue when it is flitting around the yard. But it is really a deep purple with beautiful blue marks along the bottom wings. Depending on the light, though, it can be all sorts of colors and I was really happy to have been able to catch some of those colors.
Certainly a beautiful Fingerprint of God! Now go find your fingerprint!
Have a great Fingerprint Friday and a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Beautiful butterfly photos…I love to see all kinds, didn't know this one came in a variety of colors. I really like the dark blue ones, they always look so graceful fluttering around and big enough to notice far away too. Have a great weekend. Smile today. 🙂
Such lovely photos!
Wow Vicki, you take beautiful photos. I love watching the butterflies in the yard.
Love Di ♥
Thanks, Di. I had a good model. She was quite accommodating, considering that there were about a thousand bees swarming around and trying to take her pears. She kept flitting from one pear to another and these big old European hornets kept running her off.
Well done you for capturing them.
Oh so beautiful..isn't it fun to catch these beautiful fingerprints? I get so excited with a picture of the sky/bugs/flowers..all beautiful fingerprints..Of course our family is too..but the girls won't let me put their pictures up..so I go with the other things, but they keep me happy..ha, ha..
Happy Fingerprint Friday.
So beautiful! God created some awesome stuff!
